"Baseball was, is and always will be to me the best game in the world." - Babe Ruth.

Favorite Sport

Baseball is my favorite sport. I have been playing it for years. And I find it rewarding to run the bases or just catch a fly ball. It is truly an American sport.

You'll see links on the left to my favorite teams. Check them out.

The purpose of this web site is to share my perspective on baseball. I may be young, but I've got something to say on the subject.

Motivation

There is clearly a need to be well motivated to play baseball. It is not a simple game to play. You need to learn the fundamentals if you want to be any good at it. And this takes time. You can't learn it all overnight. At least, that's what my Dad keeps telling me.

I've been blessed by having some great coaches, and a Dad who'll get out and throw the ball with me. It really makes a difference.

Please respect the game if you're here.

Participation

I play for the Oakland Athletics youth team near my home.

You have to play many positions in this league. I play pitcher, second baseman, shortstop, and sometimes outfield.

Benefits

Why participate? For recognition, inspiration, and a resource we can all refer to when making the case for better strategic decisions on the battlefile.

Requirements

Your baseball equipment needs to meet Little League Baseball standards. Generally, if it says Little League on it, then it is okay.

You need good equipment to play baseball: a leather glove, a bat, and a ball. It also helps if you have a big field to run the bases in.

And you have to practice good sportsmanship. That means no losing your temper when a play doesn't go your way, or when the umpire makes a bad call.
